Dear CC Alumni,
Welcome to an exciting new school year! Campus is vibrant as the students arrive back! Our fall student-athletes have been hard at work for a few weeks now preparing for their seasons. I can’t wait to see our teams compete!
We had a really busy summer with multiple national and international events hosted in Ed Robson Arena. From the International Jump Rope Championships (30 different countries competing!) to the USA Weightlifting Championships we estimate around 50,000 visitors came through the arena during the summer months. It’s providing wonderful exposure for our campus and city. We also watched our CC Men’s Basketball team compete for the USA in the FIBA 3 x 3 Nations League in Chile, an experience of a lifetime.
I’m excited for the coming weeks. Our Cross Country teams will seek to defend their conference titles and both go in to their seasons ranked in the top 25 nationally (Women #17, Men #25). Women’s Volleyball are poised to have an exciting season receiving votes to be in the top 25 and a really talented first year class. Women’s Soccer will play at the Switchbacks stadium once again against the Air Force on October 26th, an incredible experience that drew over 1000 spectators last year and Men’s Soccer aim to make the postseason once again this year.
Our programs and Championship Culture are thriving and we’re poised for another really exciting year. Please follow along online or download the CC Tigers app! I hope to see many of you at homecoming this October!
Go Tigers!
