CC alum Jacqui Hand ’22 made her World Cup debut in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup playing for New Zealand. She provided the assist for Hannah Wilkinson’s goal in the Ferns’ 1-0 win in the opening match against Norway. It was New Zealand’s first ever win at the World Cup finals. Congratulations, Jacqui!

What do you like to do when you’re not playing soccer?

I like to play disc golf which I started playing when I moved to Finland. There are some beautiful courses over here!

What’s your favorite memory of playing soccer at CC?

My favorite memory of playing soccer at CC would be winning the Colorado Cup.

What’s your proudest moment in post CC competition?

My proudest moment would be representing New Zealand with the Football Ferns, playing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand, and making history by winning our first game ever at a World Cup.
